Ms. von Kaenel is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the field of interior design for senior living communities. The Continuing Care Retirement Community projects Lea has designed throughout her career are widely recognized as innovative interior environments that provide residents with stimulating lifestyle choices for independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care. These projects, whether they have been new construction or repositioning, have been marketing and financial successes.
Lea's passion for her work has been recognized by publication in design magazines and trade journals, and she is a frequent speaker at senior living symposiums.

Dean Maddalena is a Partner of studioSIX5, a licensed architect, and a member of the American Institute
of Architects and NCARB.
Mr. Maddalena has dedicated a large part of his career to the research and
design of senior living environments. This culminated in 2002 when Machida, a 400 resident Continuing
Care Retirement Community in suburban Tokyo, was awarded the gold first place prize from the National Association
of Home Builders Senior Housing Council.
Dean has worked in all facets of senior design for CCRCs including a renovation for Brandon Woods in Lawrence,
Kansas; an expansion for The Gatesworth in St. Louis, Missouri; and new construction for The Deerfield in Des Moines,
IA, The Heritage in Brentwood, TN, and The Legacy in Plano, TX, to name a few. He is a member of the Mannington
Lifecare Advisory Council, has been a speaker at the American Institute of Architects and Texas Association of
Homes & Services for the Aging Annual Convention, highlighting design trends and processes. Dean also designs
furniture for senior living.
Mr. Maddalena's design success has been recognized with further awards from the American Institute of Architects
and most recently, a first place national design award from Starnet.

Ms. Jackson is studioSIX5's most senior project design and management specialist. She has experience on very large and medium size senior living projects across the continuum of care, with specialized expertise in interior designs for dementia care. Throughout her career Karla has focused on building long term client relationships, attention to project design details and the creation of superior project documentation.
Karla is a superior project design team member and has worked with many national senior housing developers, architecture firms and other project consultants. Karla's dedication to project design management excellence is unique, and has been recognized by studioSIX5's client's requests for her assignment to additional projects.

Amy Newman is a studioSIX5 project design manager with over 15 years of experience. Prior to joining
studioSIX5, Amy had her own practice, so she is well-versed in both client and project management.
Her experience in the interior design field covers the full range of services, from design-team management
to construction documentation and furniture procurement.
Senior living design has been the focus of Amy's career for the last several years. However, she has completed residential and hospitality projects as well. Amy believes that understanding the special needs of the mature population is both fascinating and rewarding. Her recent projects in senior housing include Garden Creek Assisted Living, refurbishment of
Sydney Creek at The Villages and The Oaks, and a major renovation of The Palms. All are located in San Luis Obispo, California. Amy is currently working on Sagewood at Desert Ridge, a larger multi-use senior community in Phoenix and a repositioning of San Joaquin Gardens CCRC, located in Fresno, California.

Cameron P. Reeder

Cameron Reeder is a creative and dedicated interior design professional with experience in both large and small senior living projects. Energy and dedication enable Cameron to meet and exceed both her own personal design goals and the overall goals of studioSIX5 projects. She contributes to all phases of the design process for many simultaneous projects.
Her skills as an organizer coupled with her attention to detail endow Cameron with a unique combination of capabilities. She has reorganized and managed product libraries, fostered and maintained strong communications and business relations with clients and product representatives, and has also been credited for original designs. She is an ideal candidate for the varied and rigorous demands of the design world, in all of it's phases and facets, and studioSIX5 is thrilled to have an in-demand, versatile and well-rounded designer like Cameron as a member of our staff.

Skilled in multiple areas of project design and documentation, Laura provides countless services for studioSIX5 senior living projects around the country.
Proficient in schematic designs, computer aided drafting, code identifications, design installations and material and finish selections, she thrives in an environment dedicated to commercial design for senior living. Laura is very thorough, and dedicated to her project work and always goes that extra mile to meet project deadlines. She possesses a quiet self confidence immediately recognizable to staff and clients alike. No design challenge is too great for Laura.
Laura's work has been recognized by the Texas State Campus Facilities Planning Committee for design excellence and professional presentation. She is a member of ASID, and has been a Phi Upsilon Omicron Honor Society officer.

Donna Marek has over 22 years experience in purchasing management and furnishing logistics. She has worked for T.H.E. Design Inc. and FMG Austin as a Marketing Consultant, Marketing Manager, and Director of Client Services. At studioSIX5, her strong sales background and history of management responsibilities make Donna well suited to her role as General Manager of Purchasing Services. She is involved in every project that comes through the firm, most recently The Heritage at Brentwood in Brentwood, Tennessee, Prestonwood Court in Dallas, Texas and Brandon Woods in Lawrence, Kansas.
Donna is responsible for the management of all studioSIX5 purchase orders on behalf of our clients, monitoring furnishings fabrication, and all logistics associated with a myriad of projects around the country. In order to ensure that projects are financially beneficial for our clients, Donna negotiates pricing for all products, freight, warehousing and installation services from small projects to large projects in excess of a million dollars.
