Lea W. von Kaenel, IIDA & ASID Founding Partner Lea is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the field of interior design for senior living communities whose work has been recognized by publication in design magazines and trade journals. She is also a frequent speaker at senior living conferences. Most recently Lea completed designs for Timber Ridge CCRC in Seattle, Washington, the first LEED Silver Certified CCRC in the United States. Awards & Recognition:
Founding Partner Dean has dedicated a large part of his career to the research and design of senior living environments. He has been a speaker at the American Institute of Architects and Texas Association of Homes & Services for the Aging Annual Convention, highlighting design trends and processes. Project Design Manager A senior living project design and management specialist with experience on a wide variety of senior living projects across the continuum of care, Karla possesses specialized expertise in the healthcare and dementia care aspects of designing for seniors. Interior Designer Well versed in interior design styles ranging from traditional to transitional to modern, Cameron has a keen eye for selecting furniture, fabrics, and finishes that are unique. She is often studio SIX5’s on the ground expert during furnishings installations.
Interior Designer Bachelor of Science / Interior Design As a very technically minded designer, Jessica thrives on finding the perfect balance between function, aesthetics and budget. Most recently, she has become proficient in project repositioning by working with a major client on the renovation of an existing community to achieve market commensurate amenities and care-giving innovations
Designer Experience in large hospitality projects allows Kristi to bring valuable aesthetic and interior architectural documentation skills to studioSIX5 projects.
Designer A very thorough and thoughtful designer, Laura always goes that extra mile to meet project deadlines. Most recently she completed interior construction administration services on one of studioSIX5’s most prestigious projects.
Designer As “Grey Goes Green,” Saskia’s knowledge of sustainable interior design is being put to good use on studioSIX5 projects. Her graphic skills are currently featured in a “Shades of Green” power point lecture which the firm utilizes for a variety of presentation opportunities.
Designer Organizational skills, attention to detail and a keen eye for color and design are expressed through Keri’s work. Her primary focus has been on furniture selection and specifications with emphasis on the ergonomic design aspect for senior living. Keri has worked hand-in-hand with the purchasing team and plays an important role in furniture installations.
Accounting & Bookkeeping John is responsible for all studioSIX5 bookkeeping and accounting. He also monitors staff efforts as they relate to invoicing and project scheduling.
Purchasing Coordinator Andrea is responsible for the purchasing and logistics for all studioSIX5 furnishings projects. Her experience in procurement for the home building industry is an asset to our firm’s client in the service and cost negotiation process.
