StudioSIX5’s Design Team Boldy Take On Alamo City’s Modern Style

Two-story high ceilings and a flood of bright streaming sunlight from tall windows define the challenging environment for the Interior Design at Culebra Commons in San Antonio, Texas.

StudioSIX5 took a classic approach and used natural materials, lighting, and textures to create a timeless design that feels lush and refined, yet relatable. The deep brown hues of solid wooden furniture and leather seating perfectly reflect San Antonio’s Mexican heritage. The richness of these color choices are contrasted by the white polished marble countertops in the community’s bistro and social spaces. The dazzling natural light defines the setting and reveals the details, depth, and color of the furniture and accessories.

The urban-designed community has direct access to Helotes Creek Greenway and is adjacent to nearby retail and restaurants. At night, sculptural golden metal hanging lights warm the tones of the furniture and finishes, which transforms the settings into a den-like atmosphere. Additional light is offered from the cleverly backlit floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.
