In the current national emergency, we all have to make changes to our normal procedures to ensure everyone’s safety. At StudioSIX5, we have worked for years to acquire the necessary technologies, software and equipment to enable our team members to work remotely, whether at home or while traveling. To safeguard our staff and promote social distance, we are having our staff work from home. Using our bandwidth, virtual private network, Microsoft Teams and remote desktop technologies, our team members can be as productive at home as they are in the office.
During this period, we are making the following changes:
Keeping travel to a minimum. We will make use of GotoMeeting or WebEx in place of face-to-face meetings. For finish presentations, we will send fabric and color samples to our clients so they will be able to see and understand what we are presenting.
Office telephones have been forwarded to cell phones for staff working remotely.
We will cease installations for the time being in renovation projects where seniors are present.
We will continue installations in new communities on a case-by-case basis.
We will provide the same great service our clients have come to expect.
With regard to our purchasing services:
COVID-19 presents a number of challenges to the global supply chain.
Areas directly affected include domestic manufacturing, overseas manufacturing, logistics and warehousing.
In addition to direct impacts on availability of raw materials, manufactured components, and labor in the supply chain, there are potential secondary disruptions that could affect lead times as companies move to remote work contingencies that will impact pricing requests, order placement, order confirmations and tracking.
We are in communication with our major suppliers to track their predictions on impacts to their supply chain and impacts to our orders.
We are reaching out to all our warehouse and installation providers to map out their availability and contingency plans.
We are asking clients to facilitate an earlier start to the procurement process through an acceleration of the selection process and submittal of deposits. By extending our lead time we hope to get ahead of any disruptions to prevent any delays for clients.
We will be monitoring the situation at install locations for any municipal or county requirements related to senior living communities.
We would recommend that any install at an occupied community be delayed. Should a delay push a project into a time period requiring additional storage fees to the client, we will provide a quote.
This is an evolving situation and as conditions develop, we will be working with our suppliers, service providers, and clients to provide updates on the impact to their project.
This is an extraordinary time, unlike anything anyone has seen. We pledge to continue to serve our clients while seeking to protect everyone’s health as much as is humanly possible.
With hopes for your continued good health and well-being.
